Via genrocks: "This year's movies have legitimately transformed my idea of what is creatively possible. To commemorate, I've remixed 270 of them into one giant ass video."
Note: My film selection process was fairly open; anything that was either produced or distributed in 2010 was fair game (I also consulted this Wikipedia entry). This is why some movies are labelled 2009 or 2011 on IMDB. Also, this by no means constitutes a comprehensive list of films that came out in 2010. That would have been exhausting.
Acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan directs an international cast in an original sci-fi actioner that travels around the globe and into the intimate and infinite world of dreams. Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb's rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible—inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming. This summer, your mind is the scene of the crime.
Via Uncrate: Longevity and success in both acting and directing of the type Clint
Eastwood has enjoyed is quite unusual, as is the film icon's
long-standing relationship with Warner Bros. Thankfully, it's this
relationship that makes Clint Eastwood: 35 Films, 35 Years ($135) possible. This encyclopedic box set packs every WB Eastwood film since 1968's Where Eagles Dare, including the full Dirty Harry series, 1992's Oscar-winning Unforgiven, recent standouts Million Dollar Baby and Gran Turino, and many, many more, as well as the all-new documentary The Eastwood Factor, which offers a rare look at Eastwood as both an actor and director.
I was a HUGE A-team aficionado growing up - I mean, what kid in the 80's could resist "a fictional group of ex-United States Army Special Forces who work as
soldiers of fortune while being on the run from the military for a
"crime they didn't commit".
Now comes a rem-make :A-Team actors consist of Liam Neeson, Quinton Jackson,
Bradley Cooper, and Sharlto Copley. I have absolutely ZERO expectations, and actually expect them to F' it up. But lets wait and see. Trailer below ... (via swipelife)
