The Known Universe takes viewers from the Himalayas through our
atmosphere and the inky black of space to the afterglow of the Big
Bang. Every star, planet, and quasar seen in the film is possible
because of the world's most complete four-dimensional map of the
universe, the Digital Universe Atlas that is maintained and updated by
astrophysicists at the American Museum of Natural History. The new
film, created by the Museum, is part of an exhibition, Visions of the
Cosmos: From the Milky Ocean to an Evolving Universe, at the Rubin
Museum of Art in Manhattan through May 2010.
An incredible achievement - Using around 3,000 still images, Andersen M Studio has animated an extract from Maurice Gee's novel, Going West, for the New Zealand Book Council...
"The entire film is handmade, using only 10A scalpel blades and paper," explains Martin Andersen. "It was photographed on two SLR cameras and lit using Dedo lights."

Variety magazine confirms that 20th Century Fox is moving ahead with Wall Street 2 - not sure if that is the title???.
Variety: The modern-day story will again center on Gordon Gekko, who has
recently been sprung from prison and re-emerges into a much more
tumultuous financial world than the one he once lorded over. The Bud
Fox character, played by Charlie Sheen in the original, will not appear in the latest incarnation.
Talk about perfect timing - lets hope they don't end up destroying the original by creating a shitty sequel.
