BAXTER OF CALIFORNIA, the premium men’s grooming and lifestyle brand since 1965, collaborates with New York based brand and retailers SATURDAYS NYC on a scented soy wax candle titled “Santalum + Cedrus”.
 
“Santalum + Cedrus”, a sandalwood fragrance with a dominant cedar-wood & sandalwood accord. The woody notes are supplemented by a spicy and earthy vetiver note. The dry down is an amber woody base note.
 
The custom scent is suspended in BLACK soy wax, and the glass vessel dons the iconic Saturdays “slash” logo in metallic gold.

“Santalum + Cedrus” will be available in Los Angeles, NYC, and Tokyo. Sold at the Saturdays shops [NYC, and the newly opened Tokyo location], and also available in Los Angeles at Baxter’s barbershop [Baxter Finley, barber & shop].

BAXTER OF CALIFORNIA NEW PRODUCT INTRODUCING: “DEODORANT”

The So Cal brand is again expanding its range to now include a sensitive-skin formula deodorant. The brand previously offered a roll-on deodorant back in the 70’s and 80’s and was not part of the re-branding efforts back in 2000 when the brand was acquired.

“We have been asked by both retail partners and loyal customers to develop a deodorant for several years now, Says Baxter of California’s President J. P. Mastey. Personally, I had had issues with deodorant in the past -- they can be irritating and “sting” making the search for the right formula difficult. This product was designed with my own personal requirements in mind, it not only had to be comfortable and irritant free, but the scent was equally important.”

The deliberately titled “Deodorant” is a sensitive skin formula, which is free of alcohol and aluminum. The new formulation contains Comfrey Root Extract, Tea Tree Oil, Chamomile, Yarrow and Acai Extract, among other botanical and natural ingredients.

The custom scent is described as CITRUS & HERBAL-MUSK. A complex blend that was designed to compliment a man’s natural scent.
